“Emily and Alyson were incredible during the birth of my second baby! My husband and I are so thankful and glad we hired Boundless to prepare for my labor! Initiation with Boundless Birth Doulas was so easy through their website, and they responded quickly to our inquiry. We had multiple introduction calls to discuss our wishes and what the doulas could offer. If you ever need a listening ear to hear your needs, these ladies are it! The contract process was very easy as well through their portal. The doulas were extremely thorough, communicative, and helpful throughout our entire contract. Nearing the end of the pregnancy we had two meetings which, again, were very thorough, as we talked through not only labor requests, visions, and plans, but also what to expect postpartum, family dynamics, pre-labor prep and more. It was all very family/mother-centric and made me feel so supported and subsequently my husband, who was so grateful for their expertise! During my labor, they quickly responded when it was beginning, gave great advice and came to the hospital when we requested. Alyson showed such patience and tangible support throughout contractions and an all-nighter, laboring away. The knowledge they have is unmatched and nothing that my husband and I could prepare for to cope with pain, they had all the “tricks” up their sleeves to help with pain and positioning baby into the right spot. Emily was crucial in helping my baby get into the right position and talking me through my concerns and fears at various stages. We are so glad both of them were there for us when we needed it most! Throughout my whole labor, if I had a need, it was met. They truly “mother the mother” which made me feel relaxed, seen, and so supported. Overall, I would highly recommend Boundless Birth Doulas and their services, you feel like a person and not a number. “Anna was a sibling doula during the birth of my second child. She took care of my 2.5-year-old at our house during the entire labor and birth. My daughter had never been left overnight without my husband and me, and I was very nervous that she would be confused or scared without me. She loved hanging out with Anna, though, and it was such a relief during my pregnancy to know that we had a solid plan for childcare. I had been more nervous about childcare for my toddler than the actual birth! Anna is clearly very good with children, and I would highly recommend her services as a sibling doula. My daughter talked about all the fun things they did after her visit, and it was obvious that she really liked spending time with Anna. Communication with Anna was also very good during my pregnancy and leading up to the birth. This is a fantastic option for people like us that don’t have family or friends in the area that can drop everything at a moment’s notice to do childcare during a birth.”

My husband and I decided to go with a doula for our second pregnancy because we didn’t have a great experience with our first. Emily and Anna were amazing from the beginning! I had an initial visit with them before we ultimately decided to have them work with us and they heard all of my concerns and provided me with ideas to make our second birth better. They were available to help with any questions I had and checked in after every appointment.

Emily and Anna didn’t even blink an eye when I called them at 38 weeks saying I just broke my ankle and needed to have it surgically repaired. They were there to support me through a decision to be induced even though an induction was the last on my birth plan. Anna made sure that even though I couldn’t move freely during labor, that I was positioned in ways that helped progress my labor. The baby came with no complications and I truly believe it was because of Anna’s diligence that the baby came so easily. Emily was there to support me through the beginning of breastfeeding with my little guy and both were there with support when we discovered my son’s tongue tie.

The support didn’t end after the baby came. Emily and Anna checked in often both on us and my ankle. I’m so glad I found both of them because this was truly the best labor and delivery I could have had even with a broken ankle.
